My Topic:

How can we estimate Hieronymus Bosch as a surrealist painter or a holy picture painter?

What I hope to learn from this source:
I hope to know the problems of aesthetic value and then what the standard of estimating paintings is.

Notes:

  1.  Before drawing, artists should choose what they express or what emotions and ideas they would convey. So people have to estimate them according their intention.
  2. The main problem of aesthetic value is that the estimation is subjective so that paintings should be estimated with objectivity.
  3. M.C Beardsley  said that the standard of art is components in the painting. He defined the aesthetic value that when supposing x has aesthetic value, x has an ability to produce aesthetic experience.
 Final Thoughts :
To estimate the paintings, we have to be objective. And the way to be objective is to consider intention of painters.
